How do we convert your MiniDisc to CD or MP3?

We use a sony minidisc player and that is connected to a high-end amplifier and graphic equaliser, this is then attached to a computer sound card and the audio is captured on the computer.

History of the Sony MiniDisc Format

The MiniDisc system was developed to store up to 80 minutes of digital music but faced significant competition from the recordable CD's which ultimately meant the format never enjoyed wide spread adoption in western markets.

The minidisc format has now all but been replaced as a portable music player by the popular MP3 format and the many players available.
